SERVICING INFILL WEBINAR

by | Feb 17, 2021 | Advice

An insightful webinar took place last February 17, 2020, as we joined the conversation on filling with IDEA’s interactive panel discussion: Servicing Filling. Infill has become a growing hot topic because of Edmonton’s new city plan policy that calls for half of all new city growths to happen in infill areas.

Servicing Filling was panelled by 4 Industry experts: Chelsey Jersak of Situate, Tom Keogh of Urban Sky Developments, John Clarke of Niche Development Corp, and Oasis Engineering’s very own Sikander Singh, who shared their tips, expectations, strategies, and lessons learned from their experiences in the industry.

The session involved conversations on municipal infrastructure improvement requirements, common problems in power, drainage requirements and challenges, working with green forms of energy and their implications, talks on industry abatement, advocacy efforts, and a lot more relevant insights on what needs to be right in order to achieve ambitious city plan goals from an infill perspective.
